Let's try uploading an image again. Upload Image, Drag to post ... OH! Click on Thumb, then "toggle" the "Link to ..", click "Close Options", then drag to post. That's it. Maybe lot's of clicking, but still pretty awesome!

This is a test of the image uploading capabilities of WordPress 1.6. I upload, then I drag... Let's see if it works.

Well, it worked. I still had to create the <img> tag my self (I think). But still very very nice.

Well, no it did not work the way I expected. After I draged the image to the post it gave me a subpost URL, not an image URL as I would have expected.

I am now using WordPress 1.6. The upgrade went ... decent. I had to do some database manipulation as WordPress didn't give the admin user any capabilities after the upgrade. But other than that it was quite smooth. I even took the time to clear all the spam comments, 668 of them, and freed up about 80KB.

All my plugins seem to be working well. We'll see how well 1.6 behaves with Spam Karma 2 in the coming days. And I'll be coding upgrades for all my plugins. (I have some really wick ideas for X-Dashboard). I will also do up a complete review of the admin section in the next few days, because it's really a thing of beauty!

SS Edmund Fitzgerald was a ship that sank suddenly on Lake Superior, November 10, 1975. The ship went down without a distress signal in a November gale. It sank in 530 feet (162 m) of water at 46°59.9′ N 85°6.6′ W, in Canadian waters about 17 statute miles (15 nm; 27 km) from the entrance to Whitefish Bay. All 29 members of the crew were killed.
